The Staff at Foreside Seafood understands that you order Lobster and other Seafood for a reason- a Birthday, Anniversary, Mother's Day, Father's Day, a Family Gathering, a "Thank You", a well deserved "Congrats", or any other reason, including "Just Because.." We understand the value of your dollar, and want you to be informed and educated and stay within your budget. Everyone at Foreside Seafood wants to help you make your plans be a success.

Foreside Seafood chooses not to hide costs from our valued customers.
We are a "What You See Is What You Get" type of company. We want you to know exactly what you are purchasing and paying for- this is why we refuse to add items involuntarily,  or increase the price of our Lobsters (or other products) to say we offer "Free Shipping". However, we may come up with Special Package Prices to make it easier for you! Please read package details carefully, and of course, we will always help you explore your options.

If you have questions or do not understand the product/package information on our website, PLEASE call us first, before placing your order. The majority of our products are Live and Fresh, and we wish for all of our customers to be overly satisfied with their purchases.

The Check Out questions on our website are to ensure that you understand our Policies, make sure that you know you are ordering perishable items that need to be prepared as soon as possible (the day they arrive), and we leave room for adjustments- if you have questions before finalizing your order, select the "Please Call Me!" option and provide the best daytime phone number for a Staff member to contact you to make absolutely sure you are ordering what you need, and arriving on the appropriate date.

Pick-Up and Cooking Orders
If it's Live, we can Cook it!
Please allow at least 45 minutes for your cooking order- calling ahead is always best! We do require a credit card to "hold" your order- but you can pay by cash or debit/credit card when you come to pick up!

Casco Bay Island Delivery Service
We will deliver your package to CBL for shipment on the Ferry to your Island. There is a $5.00 Delivery Charge if you have your own CBL account, and a $10.00 Delivery Charge if you do not have your own CBL account. All orders will be charged for proper packaging in addition to the Delivery Charge- you can send the packaging back on CBL to use for a future order! Orders will be charged ahead by Credit Card, and receipts will be included in your package.

Shipping Policies & Information
Delivery is available Tuesday though Friday. Saturday delivery is available for an additional $ 18.00. All shipments include delivery across the continental United States. All orders are sent UPS Next Day Air to your specified address. All orders are sent Signature Release (No signature required). Please make arrangements for the package to be left in a cool, dry spot away from the sun if you are unable to be present for delivery. If you’re sending as a gift, please be sure to notify the recipient that something perishable is coming via UPS. UPS does not deliver to P.O. boxes, please provide a physical address for delivery. However, paper gift certificates sent USPS may be sent to P.O. boxes.

Once your package is delivered, please place it in a cool environment or your refrigerator until you are ready to prepare your feast. Lobsters should be prepared the day of arrival. UPS does not guarantee delivery times during major holidays or delays due to weather. We reserve the right during these events to contact you and make alternative shipping solutions to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and highest quality of seafood.  Delivery times are guaranteed by "end of day" and can be as late as 7-8 pm especially on very busy UPS holidays.

Gift Shipments

If you are sending our products as a gift, please inform the recipient. UPS often leaves packages at houses in inconspicuous places to avoid theft. All packages are sent “signature release” so that a signature is NOT required for delivery. It is very likely that UPS will leave the package at the door of a residence, even if someone is at home, especially during the busy holiday season. If the recipient is not aware that they are receiving a gift, they may not check their back door, side door, behind the bushes, etc. It is NOT the responsibility of UPS nor Foreside Seafood to call ahead to inform the recipient of a delivery.  Neither UPS or Foreside Seafood is responsible for packages that are delivered on-time, but not collected from outside by the recipient.

Weather Policy

Adverse weather conditions in any part of the country through which your package must be routed may affect your delivery. UPS WILL NOT REFUND MONEY FOR WEATHER-RELATED DELAYS AND THEREFORE WE WILL NOT EITHER. We do try to keep on top of weather conditions to the best of our ability, but if you are concerned about weather, you should contact us to reschedule delivery. If we become aware of a potential problem, we will try to contact you to see if you would like to reschedule or to ship. If we are not able to reach you at the phone number that you have provided, we will have to make a judgment call and Foreside Seafood will not refund money for weather-related delays. PLEASE be sure that you have provided us with a phone number where you can be reached on the day that your shipment goes out (the day before delivery), so that we may make informed decisions with your input.

If You Have a Problem

Call us immediately at 1-866-588-8245 so that we can help you to solve the problem. We must be informed of damaged product on the day of delivery or the following day in order to be able to correct any problems.  If the package is damaged in any way, shape or form, please take pictures immediately upon receiving (of the label, the box before opening, and after if contents are damaged as a result of poor handling by UPS). We will then submit a claim on your behalf. If the claim is honored, then we will either reship or refund.

Shipment Tracking
If you provided us with your email address at time of order, you will receive an email with your UPS tracking information. You may use the order number (Ex: AB-1234) to track the package. Simply go to www.ups.com, click on tracking, then Track by Reference. The order number is the reference number to input and track by. You can track shipments at www.ups.com or by calling UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS.

Packaging
All of our live lobsters and seafood is hand picked and packaged in insulated boxes, cushioned with wet newspaper and refrigerated with gel packs. If you ordered lobsters ,your package will also contain complimentary cooking instructions. 
Do my Lobsters arrive alive?
We make no guarantees on the life of a lobster. However, our hearty hard shell lobsters do average 24 to 36 hours out of water. This is an average, not a guarantee. Please know that if a hard shell lobster dies you do have 12 hours in which you can still cook and eat as long as it has been kept refrigerated, which our boxes do, till you can get them into refrigeration. Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions.  
Hawaii- Due to regulations in the State of Hawaii, we are unable to ship Live Seafoods without a permit for the recipient. Permits can be obtained at your local Hawaiian City Hall or Customs location, and can take up to 2 weeks to receive. If you place an order on this website containing Live Seafoods for shipment to Hawaii, we will call you to discuss your options. Saturday Delivery is not available to Hawaii.

Alaska
- Saturday Delivery is not available to Alaska.

Puerto Rico
- We are unable to ship to Puerto Rico.

International Shipments- We are not able to ship to countries other than the United States.

Using Your Account Number- We will be happy to use your own UPS account number to cover the shipping costs. Please be sure to enter your UPS Account number in the Comments box near the bottom of the Checkout page- we will adjust your total to include packaging, and bill your UPS account number for the transportation charges. By using your own account, you pay for normal packaging costs with Foreside Seafood and UPS will bill your account number for the shipping charges.
Please be aware that if we use your UPS account number for shipping charges, the package will not be covered under our UPS Insurance Policy, and we cannot file the claim on your behalf if delivery problems occur- you will need to handle that yourself due to account-holder privacy issues. Please also be aware that if you reverse the charges, we will charge the credit card on the original shipping order for the amount we were charged by UPS.

Methods of Payment
-You can use your PayPal account as a method of payment- products purchased will not be available until payment clears. Please schedule your delivery date accordingly. We will contact you if there are any issues. PayPal also allows for a secure payment gateway for all credit card transactions, even if you do not have an account with them! Charges for Saturday Delivery (if available) are waived for those paying through their PayPal account, as we are unable to make adjustments to PayPal payments. You must choose the correct option during checkout if you do want Saturday Delivery.

-We accept the following credit/debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover- online, over the phone and in our Retail Store. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address (the address your credit card bank has on file for you) and daytime telephone number. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order- if we cannot get ahold of you to correct credit card or shipping address information, you order will not be sent until those issues are resolved.

-Your credit card will be billed upon placement of order through PayPal or when swiped in our Retail Store, and upon shipment of your order if card is used online or over the phone.

-Our Retail Store accepts credit or debit Visa, MasterCard and American Express and Discover cards, Cash and local address-local bank personal and business Checks with proper identification, address and telephone number (for purchases under $100.00). We do not accept out of state checks.

-Gift Certificates- Foreside Seafood offers Gift Certificates in any denomination, and can be used for any Three Sons product or service. Gift Certificates issued in the State of Maine with a monetary value do not expire. If you have a Paper Gift Certificate to redeem for your online Shipping order, use the "Please Call Me!" payment option. We will call you to gather the Gift Certificate information, answer any questions and finalize your order. If you received an Electronic Gift Certificate via e-mail, you can print the e-mail to use in our Retail Store, use the code over the phone or directly on this website for placing an order.

-We cannot accept EBT cards. Credit cards with non-USA billing addresses can only be used by swiping your card in-store or with PayPal.

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
-Because we are dealing with perishable items, we cannot be held responsible once the items leave our store. If you have any questions or concerns about your items, we will be happy to assist you to the best of our ability. We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges once the items have left our store.

-We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your name, email address, payment information, address, phone number, and a password. We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping experience. Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.

-To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials and new additions to our site. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.

-We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping cart at any time.

-Your IP address is also logged when you visit our site. This information is helpful in cases of fraudulent use of payment methods.
